The station is powered by a Davis Vantage Pro 2 wireless weather station. The data is collected every 2 seconds and the site is updated every 5 seconds. This site and its data is collected using Weather Display Software. The station comprises of an anemometer, rain gauge and a thermo-hydro sensor situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible. The station is located at LAT: 43.1579971, LONG:-75.4621124, Elevation 559 ft. (Also known as my front yard)
My data is sent to Weatherunderground.com, Weather For You, CWOP, CoCoRaHS and Local TV Stations, and the National Weather Service Office in Binghamton, NY

The Future of CNYWeather.com
- Would like to get an IP Camera and mount it up with the anemometer for a better view from high above.
- Improve the back cam by placing that outside in an enclosure like the front cam.
- Start planning for both a new station and newer computer. The VP2 is 6 years old and the computer is 4.
- Get a 2nd weather station to get the new site, SYRWeather.com off and running for live weather from Syracuse, NY
We will see what happens. This site is totally funded by me and what revenue
I receive from Google Ads.
May end up searching for sponsors for certain pages somewhere down the road for
a little more revenue, but not
totally sure I would like to go down that road. With approx 15-20,000 page views
a month, that might be something to try.
