...NWS Meteorologists Currently Surveying Storm Damage Near
Fayette in Seneca County New York...

The National Weather Service office in Binghamton NY is currently
conducting a storm survey for the area near Fayette in Seneca
County New York. The survey is in relation to the severe
thunderstorms that moved through the area on Sept. 2nd, 2026.

A second distinct tornado path was found near the town of Fayette.
A final assessment including results of the survey are expected
to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information Statement
by late this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

The storm survey information will also be available on our
website at https://www.weather.gov/bgm
