...NWS Meteorologists Currently Surveying Storm Damage Near
Waterloo in Seneca County New York...

The National Weather Service office in Binghamton NY is currently
conducting a storm survey for the area near Waterloo in Seneca
County New York. The survey is in relation to the severe
thunderstorms that moved through the area on Sept. 2nd, 2026.

Evidence of both a tornado and strong strait line winds have been
found in the Waterloo area. A final assessment including results
of the survey are expected to be completed and transmitted via a
Public Information Statement by Late afternoon or early tomorrow
morning.

The storm survey information will also be available on our
website at https://www.weather.gov/bgm
