...NWS Meteorologists Currently Surveying Storm Damage Near
Greene in Chenango County New York...

The National Weather Service office in Binghamton NY is currently
conducting a storm survey for the area near Greene in Chenango
County New York. The survey is in relation to the severe
thunderstorms that moved through the area on July 21st 2026.

The survey team has confirmed that a tornado occurred near the
town of Greene. A final assessment including results of the survey are
expected to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information
Statement later today.

The storm survey information will also be available on our
website at https://www.weather.gov/bgm
